Project Implementing & Monitoring Unit under the Ministry of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development, and Rural Economic Affairs intends to construct a fishery harbour at Gandara in Matara District. The project has been awarded to Engineering Consultant Ltd (ECL) - Lanka Hydraulic Institute Ltd (LHI) JV. HI has carried out the following services;
• Update of technical feasibility study
• Site visit, data collection and stakeholder consultation
• Undertake field investigations of bathymetry, geotechnical, water levels, current and water quality
• Conduct numerical modelling of wave climate, hydrodynamics & sediment transport
• Development of master plan layout and engineering design of marine structures
• Preparation of BOQ, specifications, engineer’s estimate and tender documentation
• Construction supervision (periodic)
